Public Input at Meetings
Audience Participation: The public is invited and encouraged to attend Board meetings. The Board may receive comments from the audience as they address each agenda item. We would ask that you sign in for our records and indicate if you wish to speak to a specific agenda item. This is not a meeting for the audience to engage in debate with the Board; rather, it is a time for the audience to observe the discussion and action of the Board. The voice of our school community is highly regarded as the Board decides on issues.
If the public would like additional items on the agenda they must submit the items for agenda consideration to Thomas Jefferson Charter School, 1209 Adam Smith Ave, Caldwell, ID 83605 or e-mail to scotti.erickson@tjcharterschool.org one week in advance of the meeting. The regular monthly schedule of the Board of Directors is held on the second Thursday of each month.
The Board of Trustees may call an Executive Session during any part of the meeting as per Idaho Code 74-201 to 208 for the purpose of discussing personnel, negotiations, property, or other legal matters defined by law. Any actions required due to the discussions held during Executive Session will be announced during open session of the meeting.
